Comment Nous Rejoindre

En voiture : la réserve du Welgevonden est à environ 2h30 au nord de Johannesburg. Les véhicules privés ne sont pas autorisés dans la réserve — notre ranger Stephens vous accueille à la grille principale pour vous conduire au lodge en véhicule safari.

En avion : des vols charter d'une heure sont disponibles au départ de Johannesburg jusqu'à la piste d'atterrissage ouest du Welgevonden. Un court transfert vous amène directement au lodge.

    We stayed at Morala, an exclusive-use luxury lodge in the Welgevonden Game Reserve, for two nights in July. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and luxurious, and the reserve itself was a fantastic finale to our safari.

    We were lucky to see an incredible variety of wildlife, including large herds of buffalo, eland, waterbuck, klipspringers, and even an ostrich. One evening game drive rewarded us with five lionesses and a male lion resting in the open near the lodge.

    An added advantage is the location -only a 2.5-hour drive from Johannesburg. Would we return? Most definitely.

    Our week at Morala was fantastic and I don't know where to start to describe it… in short, we had the best time ever (!!!) thanks to everything this beautiful reserve has to offer. During the safaris, at every corner/every 5 minutes, we were discovering new animals, more astonishing than the others… at the lodge, the staff was so lovely people, not to mention how talented the Chef, the Ranger, and their colleagues were. I couldn't believe the meals were tasty, fresh, and top-tier. The comfort we were receiving from them was 100/100, and the facility/rooms/ are also impeccable. The Internet was super fast for video calls, etc. In short, I recommend Morala to all my friends and family.

    The team at the lodge was fantastic and made sure we felt at home at any moment, they provided an excellent service and we ate delicious meals every day!

    The lodge has all the amenities needed to relax and embrace the immensity of the surrounding nature, from taking a shower with the birds, to sipping a coffee on the terrace with a direct view on the zebras, or reading a book by the pool with the kudus passing by.

    Morala will be in our minds for the rest of our lives and we can’t wait for another escape in this little corner of paradise.
